Aluminum Can Recycle

The aluminum can recycle at the Grange is used to benefit Island kids. Your cans are taken into Bellingham to recycle by Grange members and the money received is used to fund the Dolly Pardon Imagination Library, dictionaries to third graders at the Beach School, as well as other youth activities.

Dolly Pardon Imagination Library

In 2003 Bud Jewell read about the Dolly Pardon Imagination Library, researched it—that is how it started at the Grange on Lummi Island. The Grange uses monies from donated aluminum recycle cans to provide free books to Imagination Library participants—their age is from newborn to age 5. If you know a child from newborn to age 5 that is not participating in the Dolly Pardon Imagination Library, please call our Grange President so that child can be included in the program.
